Parade of Planets, sometimes referred to as PoP for short, is a pop band from Minsk, Belarus, formed in 2016. They describe their music with the keywords "sex", "beats" and "vocal". They perform songs in the Russian and French languages.
History[]
The band is currently based in Minsk, which is the birth city of frontwoman Yulia who is the band's vocalist, main lyric writer and melody writer. Alexey Goloveshko, the band's guitarist comes from Biešankovičy, in the Viciebsk region in northern Belarus is also credited as a songwriter.

Naš Puĺs Bjecca and The Origin Song Contest[]
Auditions[]
Parade of Planets auditioned for the fourth edition of Naš Puĺs Bjecca, the national selection of Belarus for The Origin Song Contest 06, with their song "Toi et moi" in late 2018. They were among the twelve chosen finalists, and the first act to compete with an entry in French in Naš Puĺs Bjecca, and were drawn to perform sixth in the running order.

They received nine sets of bonus points (90 points total), being the most popular act in the Internet voting, and placed first in the televote with a score of 1377 points, making their combined total 1467 and placing them at an overall first place, thus winning the right to represent Belarus in Sweden in The Origin Song Contest.
At The Origin Song Contest[]
Parade of Planets finished 1st in the second semi-final of The Origin Song Contest 06, with 178 points - 79 points ahead of runner-up Faroe Islands, qualifying for the final. They performed 17th in the running order, following the United Kingdom and preceding the Netherlands, and received 244 points, being the only Origin Song Contest performer to score over 200 points, and finished 1st, 103 points ahead of runner-up Ukraine. Belarus' victory lead to The Origin Song Contest 07 taking place in Belarus.
